The Tile Club
The Tile Club gets its inspiration from a club of late 19th-century New York-based painters, sculptors, illustrators, and architects - most notably including Winslow Homer, Stanford White, and William Merritt Chase - who gathered in the city's downtown private salons to exchange ideas and paint on ceramic tiles (like the antique Instagram of the 1880s)... Significantly, the Tile Club members were Bon Vivants who took frequent excursions to the Hamptons where they created some of America's great works of plein air painting in the Impressionist style. With this spirit of adventure and artistic exploration, The Tile Club embodies the expansive artistic energy of the Young New Yorker of the 2020's who travels the world and summers in the Hamptons. Made with only the finest cashmere, The Tile Club's line of tailored luxury casualwear features throw-on-and-go sets in a broad palette of seasonal colors without the "sweats" mentality.
