It all began in 2004: Alyssa Norton, the company, was established, Narcisso Rodriguez commissioned pieces for his show and Vogue featured her work. Having studied jewelry at the D'Allende in Mexico and learned the language of Dan Flavin and Donald Judd, Alyssa Norton was inspired to explore the affects of light on silver and colored perspex. Mixed materials and time remain a constant in her design that tend to reflect natural forms distorted through a futuristic lens.
